Bridal - Made To Order 2021
Vivienne Westwood unveil a new Made-to-Order for 2021 – a retrospective of iconic catwalk silhouettes are curated into a collection which celebrates 25 years since the inception of couture at the London atelier. Each piece is reminiscent of a significant moment from the Westwood archive and her development as a master couturier. The collection is evocative of the atelier’s signature avant-garde tailoring and combined historical and experimental pattern cutting.
The Made-to-Order collection presents a selection of metamorphic looks and accessories. Detachable sleeves, capes and Bagatelle corsets inspire brides to curate their own Westwood look from the collection. The collection is created with an environmental conscience and reduced carbon footprint, with each piece designed, sampled and made locally in England. Sustainable fabrics in the collection include an ivory Peace silk and an ivory FSC certified viscose – as a vegan alternative to silk.

Minerva
First seen on the red carpet, the Minerva is a backless floor length gown creating a sensual silhouette. With a twisted asymmetric neckline this non-corseted gown drapes across the body, to pool in a train behind the bride. The Minerva is available in the fluid Absence of Roses crepe, heavy silk satin or Peace silk fabric application.
Peace Silk is organically produced, eco-friendly and cruelty free – allowing the silk butterfly to live beyond the cocoon. This organic silk is grown without the use of harmful chemicals and uses significantly less water in its production.

Mini Cora Cocotte
The Mini Cora Cocotte is inspired by the seminal Cocotte shape, adapted to sculpt the female silhouette. First created for the 21st birthday of Vivienne’s granddaughter - Cora Corré, as a full length gown. Available in heavy silk satin, Peace silk or Crepe Satin.

The grand baroque Diva Train offers a transformative element when styled over the column gowns in the collection, for example shown here tied at the waist with the Cora Cocotte mini dress and the Long Cocotte gown. The Diva Train is available in in silk duchess or Absence of Roses jacquard.

Oriana
The Oriana gown sculpts a classic Westwood silhouette, the long line corset is delicately draped in ivory silk cady accentuating the décolletage and enhancing the female form with a high slit skirt. The Oriana pays homage to the archive Liz dress, which was originally seen in the Vivienne Westwood Spring-Summer 1996 Gold Label Collection Les Femme – the Liz was inspired by the late Hollywood starlet Elizabeth Taylor and her ultra-glamorous style.

The Delicate Drape dress, first seen in the Gold Label Spring-Summer 2007 collection I am Expensive, is an ultra-feminine silhouette. Seamless fluid lines, which pool and dance across the body are enhanced by soft drapes of silk cady or heavy silk satin, to create a truly timeless gown. Available with detachable sleeves which drape off the shoulder.

Combining 18th century inspired corsetry and an asymmetrical draped silhouette with a sweeping train, this gown delivers baroque bride grandeur. Bagatelle
The iconic Bagatelle is a gown inspired by high-society women of 18th-century salon culture and was first seen in the Vivienne Westwood Spring-Summer 1997 collection - Vive La Bagatelle. It creates a regal silhouette with a cinched waist and full skirt. This style can be finished with a zip closure, or fabric covered buttons and loops at the back, either partially or stretching the full length of the gown. The Ball Tie is a classic Westwood silhouette, created in sumptuous heavy silk satin or soft shine silk cady. A structured corset enhances the décolletage, whilst two lengths of Chantilly lace or silk georgette overlay the corset top, to drape across the arms or tie at the back, creating a subtle hourglass figure gliding over the hips and sweeping to the floor.

First seen in the Vivienne Westwood Gold Label Autumn-Winter 2014 Save the Rainforest collection, the Elizabeth Dress was inspired by iconic designs of the original courtier, Charles Frederick Worth. The historical shape of the original Elizabeth Dress has been re-interpreted to create the Elizabeth Bolero, the voluminous sleeves create a striking contrast to the simple bodice cinched at the waist.
